Privacy Policy

Forkast is operated by ANICCA LLC. Forkast is a meal-planning app that builds a week of meals around your grocery budget and gives you one grocery list with estimated prices for the store you shop at.

What we collect

Forkast stores the answers you give during setup — your ZIP code, the grocery store you pick, household size, the meals and days you cook, your diet, the foods you won't eat, your kitchen equipment, the pantry staples you already have, and your weekly budget — plus your meal plans, which grocery items you have checked off, which recipes you marked as cooked or favorite, and your subscription status. That's it.

Where it lives

All data is stored on your device. We do not operate our own server, Forkast does not require an account, and your answers and plans stay on your device unless you choose to send us feedback (see below). Your ZIP code is used on your device only, to adjust estimated prices for your region.

Feedback and bug reports

If you tap Request a feature, Report a bug, or a feedback prompt, Forkast opens a form hosted by Tally (tally.so). Only what you type or attach (for example a screenshot) is sent, plus basic app details so we can understand your report: app version, iOS version, device model, household size, store, weekly budget, the meals you plan, and the app theme. Your ZIP code is not sent. Nothing is submitted until you press submit. Tally's handling of form data is described in its own privacy policy. If you choose to email us instead, we receive what you write and your email address.

Subscription processing

If you subscribe to Forkast Plus, payment and subscription status are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email, Apple ID, or payment card details. Forkast does not use any third-party payment or subscription service.

Sharing your list

If you tap Share on your grocery list, Forkast hands the text of the list to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is up to you and the app you choose; nothing is sent to us.

Analytics & tracking

The Forkast app does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any form of activity tracking. We do not use cookies or device fingerprinting. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

This website

forkastmeals.com is hosted by Cloudflare and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, doesn't follow you across other sites, and only reports totals such as page views, the sites visitors came from and their countries. The website has no advertising trackers, and its fonts are served from this site. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the date, the page you signed up on and your country (worked out from your connection; we don't keep your IP address) in our own database at Cloudflare. We use it only to tell you when Forkast is available and to send your waitlist offer. You can unsubscribe from that email, or ask us to delete your address, at any time.

Children

Forkast is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Forkast, contact us and we will help remove any associated data.

Your rights

You can change any of your answers at any time in the You tab. You can erase all your data by deleting the app, which removes everything Forkast stored on your device. To delete feedback you sent us, or to remove your email from the waitlist, email us. To cancel a subscription, use Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

Not dietary or medical advice

Forkast is a planning tool. Diet and "won't eat" filters are based on recipe tags and are not a guarantee that a dish is free of any allergen. Always check ingredient labels if you have a food allergy or a medical dietary need.

Changes

We may update this policy when we add features or change subprocessors. Material changes will be flagged in-app before they take effect.
